The OIE regional seminar on communication (7 – 8 October, Rabat- Morocco) was organized for CVOs and their press officers of the French speaking African countries. Twenty seven countries were represented for a total of 80 participants. The minister for agriculture and fisheries of Morocco officially opened the seminar, followed by the intervention of Dr Vallat, Dr Samaké (who represented Dr Niang) and the FAO-ECTAD Regional coordinator Dr Fikri.
This seminar is part of OIE activities in communication to help VS strengthen their communication capabilities and resources to better communicate their tasks and missions to policy makers and to all relevant stakeholders, thus to support and strengthen the impact of the technical preparedness and response to animal diseases.
